Subscribing to the NEMLA mailing list

To accomplish NEMLA's goal of facilitating communication among New England's music libraries and their personnel, the Chapter sponsors an electronic mailing list. The list may be used for communications to the NEMLA membership, for cataloging and reference inquiries, and any other topics of interest to the librarians who handle music in New England libraries.

Messages may be sent to the list at nemla@musiclibraryassoc.org. The list is a Google Group hosted by our national organization, the Music Library Association, and while you must be a subscriber to post to the list it is open to anyone, whether or not a member of the local or national organization. The list is not moderated, but requests to subscribe are subject to the approval of the administrator in order to prevent spammers from sending commercial messages unrelated to the list's general interests.

To subscribe, send a message to the list administrator, Jennifer Olson (jolson@hartford.edu), and indicate the email address you wish to be subscribed with, if other than the one you are sending from. A Gmail address or any address registered with Google will allow you to log in to Google Groups and read the list or adjust your settings yourself. An email address not registered with Google will allow you to receive messages posted to the list, but any change in your settings must be requested from the list administrator. Once subscribed you will receive a welcome message from the list that includes these instructions.
