Welcome to the website for the New England chapter of the Music Library Association, which brings together all those in the region interested in music libraries, archives, and collections.
NEMLA stands in full support of the Music Library Association’s Statement Opposing Racism and Police Brutality. We are currently working to gather questions, concerns, and ideas from our membership so that NEMLA can participate in the hard work of transforming our profession and the communities we serve into those that are just and equitable for all people.
As stated, we need your questions, concerns, and ideas. Therefore, we are hosting a Town Hall conversation at 11am on June 26th, and will follow up with the conversation at our board meeting on July 1st. If you would like to participate in the Town Hall meeting, please register here. (In case Webex is new for you, here is information about joining a Webex meeting.) As an alternative to the Town Hall, you are also welcome to send your thoughts to the board via this form.
Please consider participating in this important conversation to help us move towards a more inclusive and proactive organization.
